In India, the complete distribution of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor is going on and iQOO and Realme have already given the launch dates for their flagship models. Thus, the segment is going to be very active with OnePlus introducing its OnePlus 15 with the same platform already weeks ago. Furthermore, both companies are all set to release their new devices before the month is over.
Realme's official announcement regarding India says that the GT 8 Pro is going to be launched on Nov. 20. The handset is OEM of Qualcomm's latest Elite Gen 5 chipset and will be bundled with a 2K AMOLED screen having a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel will emit 7,000 nits at the maximum and the battery with the same capacity will be 7,000mAh with 120W wired charging support.
The new layout for the series has been confirmed by the company as well. Through modular components, the users will be able to alter the camera island, which will be the brand's first attempt at a customisable exterior. Realme is collaborating with Ricoh for camera calibration and the phone will have a 200-megapixel periscope system in addition to the main and ultra-wide-angle cameras.

iQOO has the iQOO 15 slated for a Nov. 26 introduction along with a start of the pre-orders on Nov. 20. Besides, the product is going to be a handheld version of Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and will feature the Q3 co-processor, which is meant to provide a better gaming experience.
The device boasts Samsung's 2K M14 LEAD OLED screen, which supports a 144Hz refresh rate. The display in high-brightness mode can go all the way up to 2,600 nits and it will also be able to display Dolby Vision HDR content. A huge 7,000mAh battery with 40W wireless charging and an estimated 100W wired profile powers the cell phone.
The camera system is made up of three 50MP sensors that take care of the standard, periscope, and ultra-wide angles. The phone will come pre-loaded with Android 16-based OriginOS 6, and the company has made it clear that a long-term update period is in place — five years of OS upgrades, seven years of security updates. The product also has an IP68 and IP69 certification for its resistance.

Xiaomi has made the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 available in the Xiaomi 17 series, which is now officially on sale in China, but India is yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, Samsung is gearing up for the Galaxy S26 range release in January 2026, wherein the models are also expected to incorporate Qualcomm's top-tier chip.
